Federal Minister for Education, Shafqat Mahmood said Punjab has already conducted exams of class 10^th before corona lockdown and practical examination are left only, therefore, students of class 10^th shall not be promoted on basis of new average marking policy rather their exams shall be marked and result will be announced.

He further added that practical portion of this examination shall be treated under new policy. Punjab government is expected to announce a revised policy regarding class 10^th students that might include 50% marks for practical to all students with few percentages of grace marks on top of it as benefitting the other students from this policy.

Meanwhile, students from other boards will receive three percent extra marks based on their previous result that shall be used for promotion to next classes respectively.
