The Federal minister for Education Mr. Shafqat Mahmood announced that boards exams will not be conducted for academic session 2019-20. He further emphasized, we cannot take any decisions that may risks the lives of students and teachers due to corona pandemic in the country.

He further announced that educational institutes throughout the country shall remain closed until July 15^th, 2020. The previous decision stated to open educational institutions on June 1^st, 2020. This is a mutual decision taken within a video conference with all provincial education ministers on board, considering growing numbers in corona cases.
