The Private Education Institutions Regulatory Authority – PEIRA has warned the institutes regarding cancellation of registration if they fail to comply with fee concession notification given by authorities of Pakistan.

This notification has been issued by PEIRA as final warning to private institutions that have not yet complied with fee concession notification (taken in light of corona pandemic) after receiving complains on Pakistan Citizen Portal.

PEIRA has shared notification with respective institutes whose complaints have been received, as well as it has been published on social media to increase its reach to private educational institutions. As per PIERA, schools that are charging fee above PKR 5000 shall give 20% concession as well as fee to be charged on monthly basis. Salaries of the staff shall be paid on regular basis and no staff shall be laid-off during mentioned time period (April & May 2020).

Further, it has been mentioned that only 3-4 staff members shall attend activities of school/institution offices to cater account and administrative things. PEIRA strictly issued this notification and warning that schools / institutions found in noncompliance shall face strict action of law including cancellation of the registration.
